Mt. Sylvan Children's Ministry

And He called a child to Himself and set him before them, and said, "Truly I say to you, unless you are converted and become like children, you will not enter the kingdom of heaven. "Whoever then humbles himself as this child, he is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. read more.  "And whoever receives one such child in My name receives Me"

  • Children’s Sunday school

Sunday morning Sunday School starts each week at 9:30 am in the Children's Ministry Tree House (Children's Center).

In both our PRESCHOOL and ELEMENTARY classes, we are following the Grow curriculum where each month becomes a new themed adventure as we explore and grow through scripture, music, crafts, and fellowship!

    CURRENT MONTH: June

CHANGING GEARS: A 4-Week series from Genesis on Creation and Early Humanity.

    SERIES OVERVIEW:

Whether it's LEGO bricks, Minecraft, or Roblox, kids (and adults!) love to make things - and sometimes break them.  In this four-week series from the very beginning of the Bible, we'll compare God's ability to make good things with our tendency to break them. Through the stories of creation, the fall, Cain and Abel, and the Tower of Babel, we'll see that God makes good things, unbreaks what's been broken, and made us different on purpose, so we should honor God with the things we make.

We'd love to have you join us for Sunday Morning Sunday School!
Contact Heather Thompson (heather@mtsylvan.org) for more information!

  • Nursery

Nursery is provided for children who have not yet entered elementary school.

Whether you need nursery care so you can attend a Sunday School class and/or while you join us for Worship, your child will be in great care! When you come to our nursery, you will find a warm, friendly and inviting atmosphere!
We are blessed with great volunteers that love kids. All nursery workers have undergone a thorough background check and have been trained to follow Safe Sanctuaries procedures.

Safe Sanctuaries training certifies individuals as safe workers with children and youth in United Methodist ministries.

The nursery is found in the education building located across from the church sanctuary. Please ask any church member and they will be happy to point you in the right direction.
